Remembering the Cosmos Flower

Akiko and her mother return to their village in Japan after 7 years in South America where the teenager contracted HIV through a blood transfusion. The whole town knows about this even before she arrives and fear they will be exposed to the deadly disease. Her childhood best friend, Natsumi, transforms her fear of Akiko's sickness into solid support and together they confront the prejudice and ignorance of the village community.
